The dispute over land for the Gun Lake Casino heads back to the U.S. Supreme Court. The W.K. Kellogg Foundation donates to the Detroit Promise scholarship program. Oakland University faculty oppose hiring Kelly Services' former CEO as president. 

The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear a Shelbville resident's lawsuit over the Gun Lake Indian tribe's ownership of land where there casino is located in Wayland. The court will hear the case during its next term. (MLive

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation is giving a $3.5-million grant to the Detroit Promise. The program, helps pay for college tuition for some Detroit high school graduates. (Detroit News

Oakland University faculty members say the school's board should not hire the former CEO of Kelly Services as OU's next president. Oakland is considering Carl Camden and the former head of the University of Michigan's Health System Ora Pescovitz. A vote is scheduled for Thursday. (Detroit Free Press
