Battle Creek City Commissioners approve a change in when city elections are held. An Allegan County doctor's license suspended for liposuction in a pole barn, WMU baseball loses its final non-conference game of the season. 

Battle Creek City Elections will be held in even-numbered years beginning in 2020 after a change approved by the City Commission Tuesday night. To accommodate the change,  commissioners elected this year will serve a three-year term. (Battle Creek Enquirer

DTE Energy says it will reduce carbon emissions by 80%. The utility plans to shut down all of its coal-fired power plants by 2050. (Detroit Free Press

State regulators have suspended the license of an Allegan County doctor. The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs says Bradley Bastow's license was suspended after reports of liposuction performed in a pole barn. (Holland Sentinel

Western Michigan University's baseball team lost at Notre Dame Tuesday 10-2. The Broncos will host Buffalo for a three game series beginning Thursday to close out the regular season. (WMU Athletics)
