Sports Wrap Up

Western Michigan's baseball team won two out of three games, while a new soccer team played its first home match. 

Western Michigan lost to Ohio 7-5 Sunday. The Broncos took two out of three games in the weekend series from the Bobcats. Western will finish the regular season with a three game series at Central Michigan beginning on Thursday.

In soccer, Kalamazoo FC played to a 0-0 tie with Lansing yesterday. It was the first home match for the new National Premier Soccer League team in Kalamazoo. They will host Detroit on Sunday at Mayor’s Riverfront Park.

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
