State Media Blitz Calls For Flint Residents To Flush Pipes

(Michigan Radio-Flint) Starting Friday Flint residents will be bombarded with radio and TV ads urging them to flush their pipes.

Michigan Radio reports it’s part of a campaign to try to flush lead particles out of the water system and to move chemicals through the pipes that should help coat them.

State and federal agencies will be testing the water to see if the flushing program is having the desired effect.

Michigan Radio offers internships in its newsroom and production departments. Check our employment page for current openings.
