Governor Rick Snyder delivers his State of the State address Tuesday at the Capitol in Lansing.

This will be the governor’s fifth State of the State. Aides say the governor will spend some time reviewing progress the state’s made over the past four years before switching to workforce development, streamlining services, and other things he’d like to deal with in 2015.

Detailed plans to address a deficit will likely wait until next month when the governor presents his proposed budget to the Legislature.

The governor can expect a largely sympathetic reception since the Legislature is controlled by Republicans, although there are some areas where the governor has differences with GOP leaders.
