Supreme Court Will Not Hear Road Commission Case

WMUK

The U-S Supreme says it won't consider a case involving the Kalamazoo County Road Commission. The high court declined to review the case this morning. That means an Appeals Court ruling in favor of a former Road Commission employee stands.

Robert DeLeon sued the Commission after he was fired when he took sick leave. DeLeon says he was forced out because of poor working conditions inside the Commission's garage that affected a chronic illness.

A federal judge in western Michigan rejected the claim but the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati overturned that ruling.
