Two Soloists Tell How They Put The Finishing Touches On Bernstein's Music

Nikki Statler

On tomorrow's Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra concert, both violinist Anne Akiko Meyers and mezzo-soprano J'Nai Bridges will appear as soloists, in two works by Leonard Bernstein: his Serenade after Plato's Symposium for violin, strings & percussion; and the Symphony No. 1 'Jeremiah.' They discuss the two works, and how they each prepared for their roles in front of the orchestra.

The Bernstein's 100th concert is at 8 pm Saturday, March 24 in Miller Auditorium. Tickets and more details available at the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra website
