Upton Leads Moment Of Silence On House Floor For Kalamazoo Shooting Victims

WMUK

The U.S. House observed a moment of silence on Tuesday for the victims of Saturday's shooting in Kalamazoo.

West Michigan Congressman Fred Upton was joined by all members of the Michigan's Congressional delegation as he addressed the House. In his remarks Upton offered support and encouragement for the friends and family of the six people killed Saturday night. He also asked for prayers for 14 year old Abigail Kopf and Tiana Carruthers who were both critically wounded.

The long-time Republican Representative also praised the efforts of law enforcement in capturing  the suspected shooter Jason Dalton. Upton says they prevented the tragedy from being even worse.
