Monday's edition of WestSouthwest features rebroadcasts of two recent interviews. A look at Michigan's road funding package and next month's special election. Also NPR Ted Radio Hour Host Guy Raz.

Michigan voters will decide on May 5th whether to approve an increase in the state sales tax. A comprehensive road funding package hinges on voter approval of that change. The Citizens Research Council of Michigan has prepared an analysis of the ballot proposal and other changes in state law. State Affairs Director Bob Schneider discusses what the changes would mean.

The TED Radio Hour debuted on NPR in 2013. Host Guy Raz explains how TED Talks at conferences around the country are weaved into programs based on one theme. Raz says there is "no rhyme or reason" for how every show is produced.

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
