George Franklin

On WestSouthwest, two previously aired interviews with authors. Former Kellogg executive George Franklin discusses lobbying for the Battle Creek-based company.  Battle Creek native and Illinois Wesleyan University Professor Megahn Burke writes about the tea party. 

George Franklin had a long career with Kellogg in his book Raising Bran and Other Cereal Wars: 30 Years of Lobbying for the Most Famous Tiger in the World Franklin describes his time lobbying government officials. He spoke with WMUK's Sehvilla Mann for an interview that aired in December.

Meghan Burke is graduate of Pennfield High School and now a Sociology Professor at Illinois Wesleyan University. She sought to learn more about the tea party movement in Illinois by spending time with its leaders. She spoke with Gordon Evans for an interview that aired in May. 

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
