On this edition of WestSouthwest, examining hunger and nutrition in two different studies. 

The Citizens Research Council of Michigan recently released a report on obesity in Michigan. Research Associate Nicole Bradshaw explains what the study found regarding obesity's impact on the state's economy, and some possible solutions. 

The latest report on hunger shows a large demand in Southwest Michigan. The Director of Fund Development for the Food Bank of South Central Michigan, Dan Salerno, tells us what the Hunger in America study shows about the eight county region they serve.
