On WestSouthwest, a Kalamazoo man who served in the Air Force before his gender transition discusses gender identity in the military. And the latest reports on campaign finance for the 2018 election. 

Dyrk Hamilton served in the Air Force and later the Air National Guard. Later he transitioned his gender to male. The Kalamazoo man discusses transgender people serving openly, and President Trump's announcement that transgender people will be banned from the military. 

The Michigan Campaign Finance Network has examined reports filed by candidates and campaign committees. The network's director Craig Mauger tells us that the trend of more money in politics is continuing. 

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
