On this edition of WestSouthwest, vaccination rates and campaign finance.

The Kalamazoo Gazette and MLive examined vaccination rates in Michigan. They found West Michigan has a higher rate of immunizations than other areas.  Kalamazoo Gazette reporter Julie Mack told WMUK's Gordon Evans why state health officials worry about regions where a higher percentage of parents choose not to vaccinate their children. And why some parents still don't want their kids immunized.

Michigan Campaign Finance Network Director Rich Robinson says Michigan is the "dark money capital of American Politics." He tells us where the money is being spent, and why it's hard to track so much of the money that pays for political advertising.

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
