On WestSouthwest, a panel discussion  on Tuesday at the Kalamazoo Public Library on welcoming refugees to Southwest Michigan. And an update on the Two Houses One Heart campaign launched by Hospital Hospitality House of Southwest Michigan. 

The Kalamazoo Interfaith Council for Peace and Justice and Welcoming Michigan are sponsoring a forum on Tuesday at the Kalamazoo Public Library. Shadia Kanaan who will moderate the forum and Joel Bell from Bethany Christian Services in Kalamazoo discuss how refugees come to Southwest Michigan, and the tension for people who come from the Middle East. 

In March, the CEO of Hospital Hospitality House of Southwest Michigan told us about the organization's plans to build two new cottages near Bronson and Borgess Hospitals. Judy Markusse Paget joins us again for an update on the Two Houses One Heart campaign. 

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
