On WestSouthwest, the Dean of Western Michigan University's Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine talks about big milestones this year. And Big Brothers Big Sisters, A Community of Caring marks it's 60th anniversary in Southwest Michigan. 

Western Michigan University's Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine has received full accreditation from the Liaison Committee on Medical Education. Later this year the school's first class will graduate. The founding dean of the medical school Hal Jenson discusses those milestones and more. 

Big Brothers Big Sisters, A Community of Caring is marking its 60th anniversary this year in Southwest Michigan. CEO Amy Kuchta discusses the plans to increase the number of mentors serving kids in Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Van Buren and Allegan Counties. 

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
