Two Republicans and one Democrat won seats on the Michigan Supreme Court in the November election. But the ballot didn't tell voters what political party nominated the justices for the state's highest court. Western Michigan University Political Science Professor Mark Hurwitz has extensively studied and written about Michigan's unique system of electing state Supreme Court Justices. Hurwitz tells us why it isn't likely to change anytime soon.
