On this edition of WestSouthwest, Kalamazoo's brewery scene and how poorer students end up paying more for college in Michigan. 

Encore Magazine recently surveyed the beer scene in Kalamazoo. Even with several local breweries launching in the area recently, staff writer Tiffany Fitzgerald says there appears to be room for more. 

College costs and students debt are big issues for many students. But Bridge, the online news service of the Center for Michigan, finds that a loss of financial aid is driving up the cost even more for some low-income students. Senior writer Ron French explains why that has happened, and what universities are doing to address the problem.
