WMUK's Earlene McMichael spoke with Walter Dean Myers last year shortly before he came to Kalamazoo to discuss reading and literacy. The best-selling author died July 2nd. He was 76. We're rebroadcasting the interview recorded with Myers last year.

And, Rich Robinson examines how money is raised and spent on political campaigns in Michigan. But he recently wrote about Michigan's system of redistricting for Congress and the State Legislature. Robinson says while no system is ideal, leaving lawmakers in charge leads to the sides seeking partisan advantage.
