On WestSouthwest, a conversation with the long-time leader of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kalamazoo who retires at the end of the year. And a look at the primary races for Kalamazoo County Commission on next month's ballot.

Robert Ezelle will retire at the end of this year after more than 30 years leading the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kalamazoo. He sat down with WMUK's Earlene McMichael to discuss how he came to be an advocate for children. 

There are three contested primaries for Kalamazoo County Commission on the August ballot. WMUK Local Government and Education Reporter Sehvilla Mann tells us which districts have primary races, and what issues await the next commission. 

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
