The story of gangsters using Southwest Michigan as a vacation spot, and a report on "The Michigan Dream" are featured on WestSouthwest.

Author Chriss Lyon explores how the murder of a police officer in Saint Joseph in 1929 led police to significant evidence about the "Saint Valentine's Day Massacre." Lyon discusses her book A Killing in Capone's Playground with WMUK's Erin Williams.

The Michigan Economic Center has released a report called The Michigan Dream at Risk. The center's CEO John Austin, who is also president of the Michigan Board of Education, spoke with WMUK's Gordon Evans.
