On WestSouthwest, a Congressman seeking re-election and a view of the violence in Iraq. 

Congressman Justin Amash is seeking his third term in the U.S. House. He represents Battle Creek and Grand Rapids in the Third District. He faces a Republican primary challenge from Brian Ellis. 

Kalamazoo native Ben Lando is the founder and Editor in Chief of the online news service, Iraq Oil Report. He talks about the latest surge of violence in that nation, and how they cover it while trying to stay safe. 

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
