On WestSouthwest, an Upjohn Institute report on reforming education funding and a state Representative discusses possible solutions for road funding.

The Upjohn Institute for Employment Research has released a new report called The Road Toward K-12 Excellence in Michigan. Senior Economist Kevin Hollenbeck explains how the institute's researchers propose to change the state's system for funding schools.

State Representative John Bizon says it may time to try some different ideas for funding roads. The Battle Creek Republican sat down with WMUK's Gordon Evans and Battle Creek Enquirer Reporter Jennifer Bowman.

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
