On WestSouthwest, a history of baseball in Kalamazoo, and an author's third book on exploring the Great Lakes. 

  

Kalamazoo Public Library Web Coordinator Keith Howard has written about baseball in Kalamazoo from its origins to present day. The entry on the library's local history webpage includes stories of where the game was played in the city.

Author Loreen Niewenhuis has written extensively about exploring the Great Lakes. Her first two books took readers along as she hiked along Great Lakes beaches. Niewenhuis' third book is about the islands in the five Great Lakes. A version of this interview first aired on Between the Lines.   

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
