On WestSouthwest, Kalamazoo Regional Education Service Agency Superintendent Dave Campbell on the best time to start school. And the Michigan Public Radio Network's Capitol Bureau Chief Rick Pluta tells us what's waiting for lawmakers when they return from their summer recess. 

  

Bridge recently examined the issue of school start times, and asked if high school students would perform better if they could begin class later. Kalamazoo Regional Education Service Agency Superintendent Dave Campbell spoke with Bridge for the article. He joins us to discuss when to start school times and other issues.

State lawmakers have begun their summer recess. But the Michigan Public Radio Network's Capitol Bureau Chief Rick Pluta tells there will be plenty of issues to tackle when they return. Those include a new energy policy and changes to Michigan's medical marijuana law. But the Legislature only has a couple of session days scheduled this summer, and then an election waiting in November.
