On WestSouthwest, an interview with West Michigan Congressman Justin Amash on investigations into Russia and the 2016 election, health care and other issues. And Contributor to Detroit Public Television's Great Lakes Bureau Gary Wilson on proposed cuts to Great Lakes programs in the latest budget proposal from the Trump administration.

Congressman Justin Amash said last month that impeachment was possible if allegations that President Trump tried to pressure then FBI Director James Comey to end the investigation into Russian influence in the 2016 were proven true. Amash says he answered a hypothetical question, and there hasn't been an investigation, "we're not there yet." Amash also discussed health care and other issues on Thursday, just before a town hall meeting in Battle Creek.

The Trump administration has submitted a new budget with cuts to Great Lakes programs. Gary Wilson, Contributor to Detroit Public Television's Great Lakes Bureau, says there's reason to be optimistic that money will be restored. But Wilson says regulations and enforcement are also important.
