On this Edition of WestSouthwest, State Representative Dave Maturen discusses roads and other issues. And the featured speaker for this year's ISAAC Banquest the Reverend John C. Welch. 

  

State Representative Dave Maturen explains why state lawmakers shouldn't work on a "Plan B" for road funding in case voters don't approve the May 5th ballot proposal to raise the sales tax. The Republican from Vicksburg also discusses the state's outstanding tax credits, energy policy, gun regulations and more.

The Reverend John C. Welch is Dean of the Students at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He is also Chairman of the Board of the Gamaliel Foundation. The interfaith group's affiliates include ISAAC in Kalamazoo. Welch will be the featured speaker at ISAAC's annual banquet on Saturday at Western Michigan University. He discusses justice, hopes for a post-racial society, and the opportunities and challenges for Pittsburgh's version of the "Promise."
