On WestSouthwest, we sit down with Western Michigan University President John Dunn. And Battle Creek Enquirer reporter Safiya Merchant discusses a critical juncture for Battle Creek Schools. 

  

Western Michigan University President John Dunn discusses improving the school's alert system, a survey on sexual violence and harassment on campus, a new strategic plan and other issues.

Battle Creek Enquirer Education Reporter Safiya Merchant has been covering Battle Creek Schools efforts to "right size" in the face of declining enrollment and revenue. She tells WMUK's Gordon Evans about the "crossroads" for the Battle Creek district.    

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
