Fostering Success, Western Michigan University

On this week's WestSouthwest, we hear about helping foster children succeed in college and beyond. And an Egyptian professor tells us about changing cultural climate in his native country. 

The third Fostering Success Michigan Summit is being held Friday at Western Michigan University. The Director of Outreach and Training for Western Michigan University's Center for Fostering Success, Maddy Day tells us about the summit and discusses how students succeed when they age out of foster care. 

Professor Osama Madany is studying at Western Michigan University as part of a Fulbright grant. He speaks Thursday night as part of Western Michigan University's Center for the Humanities Changing Climates Series.

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
