 On WestSouthwest, the case for investing in preschool and veterans sharing their stories at Western Michigan University. 

  

Upjohn Employment Institute Economist Tim Bartik says investing in high quality preschool is not only a good way to improve education. He says it's a good economic development strategy. Baritk discusses his new book, From Preschool to Prosperity: The Economic Payoff to Early Childhood Education with WMUK's Gordon Evans. 

Western Michigan University is holding a Veterans Day event that allows students, faculty and staff to share their stories of military service. Western Senior, and Marine veteran, Chris Hickey tells WMUK's Andy Robins what he wrote about, and why he decided to share the story. 

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
