On WestSouthwest, a new report on helping families out of poverty and what election results mean for Great Lakes issues. 

  

The Annie E. Casey Foundation issued a report last week calling for programs to help families out of poverty through programs for both children and their parents.  Jane Zehnder-Merrell, Kids Count in Michigan Project Director for the Michigan League for Public Policy, discusses some possible strategies at the state level.

Governor Rick Snyder will serve four more years in highest office in the Great Lakes' state after winning re-election. Great Lakes Echo commentator Gary Wilson tells us what that could mean for issues of water conservation and the environment.
