Gretchen Whitmer spent 14 years in the Michigan Legislature, now she's running for the Democratic nomination for governor. Last week Whitmer was in Southwest Michigan, and spoke with WMUK's Gordon Evans.
Kalamazoo, like many cities, was trying to stop the spread of the flu during the pandemic of 1918. City of Kalamazoo Historic Preservation Coordinator Sharon Ferraro will discuss the flu's impact in Kalamazoo on Sunday at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. Ferraro spoke with Sehvilla Mann about how the city did "pretty good" in limiting deaths due to the flu.
