WMU Office of Sustainability

On WestSouthwest, "doing well by doing good", and the Democrat running in one of Michigan's most competitive state Senate races.

  

Judy Wicks is known as a leader in the local food and sustainability movements. She will speak at Western Michigan University this week at events sponsored by the university's Office of Sustainability. Wicks tells WMUK's Gordon Evans that businesses can be profitable and socially responsible.

State Representative Sean McCann is running for state Senate in the district that includes Kalamazoo County. The Democrat is in his second term representing the city of Kalamazoo and surrounding townships in the state House. 

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
