On WestSouthwest, a fact checking the political ads. And the Republican running for state Senate in Kalamazoo County.

If you're looking for the truth behind the political ads, Bridge's Truth Squad may be one place to turn. The online news service of the Center for Michigan makes foul calls for the Truth Squad on political ads as well as statements in debates and elsewhere. Bridge Senior Editor David Zeman explains how they determine what to examine, and some of the recent calls made on political politicians. 

State Representative Margaret O'Brien is the Republican nominee for state Senate in Kalamazoo County. The 20th state Senate district is considered one of the most competitive in the state this year. O'Brien is in her second term representing Portage and surrounding townships in the state House.
