Western Michigan University graduate LZ Granderson returns to his alma mater Wednesday night to speak at an event sponsored by the School of Communication. In an interview with WMUK's Gordon Evans, Granderson, a contributor to CNN, discusses the shooting of a black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri and the subsequent reaction. The senior writer for ESPN also weighs in on what high-profile domestic violence cases involving professional athletes say about the judicial system.

Congressman Fred Upton was first elected to the House in 1986. He has been serving part of Southwest Michigan ever since. Upton is on the ballot again this November seeking another two year term.

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
