On WestSouthwest, we hear from candidates for Governor and state House. 

  

Battle Creek Democrat Mark Schauer is challenging Republican Governor Rick Snyder in November. Schauer is a former state lawmaker and served one term in Congress. 

Democrat Bill Farmer is making another run at state House in the district that includes parts of Kalamazoo and Calhoun Counties. The 63rd district is currently represented by House Speaker Jase Bolger who can't run again because of term limits.  

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
