On WestSouthwest, Democratic Congressional candidate Paul Clements. And Republican state House candidate Beth Griffin. 

Paul Clements is making his second big for Congress. The Democrat is challenging Republican Fred Upton in the 6th Congressional district. Clements ran against Upton in the Southwest Michigan district two years ago.

Republican Beth Griffin is running for state House in the district that includes Van Buren and northwest Kalamazoo County. The current 66th district representative Aric Nesbitt cannot run again due to term limits. 

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
