On this edition of WestSouthwest, we feature  two interviews originally broadcast this summer.

A group of Western Michigan University Engineers have developed a sensor that may help indicate if a player has suffered a concussion on the football field. WMUK's Gordon Evans spoke with WMU Electrical and Computer Engineering Masood Atashbar and doctoral student Binu Baby Narakathu about how the sensor works and its potential in football and beyond.

Two teams from Western Michigan University worked in Detroit this year on finding savings in the city's transportation operations. Ken Jones, instructor of integrated supply in Western's Haworth College of Business spoke with WMUK's Gordon Evans about what they found while working in Detroit.
