On this edition of WestSouthwest, reaching across the perceived divide between science and religion. And a State Representative seeking his third term representing Van Buren County and part of Kalamazoo County.

The Reverend Michael Dowd speaks in Portage on Tuesday night. He spoke with WMUK's Andy Robins via Skype. And explained why he calls himself an "evolutionary evangelist" for "ecological Christianity." 

Republican State Representative Aric Nesbitt is running for re-election in the 66th District. It includes all of Van Buren County and northwest Kalamazoo County. He spoke with WMUK's Gordon Evans. 

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
