On WestSouthwest, a report on what students and their parents want in terms of college affordability. And a history of brewing in Kalamazoo. 

The Center for Michigan has put out a report on college affordability and upward mobility. The center took feedback from community conversations around the state as well as telephone and other surveys. Center for Michigan Outreach Coordinator Dwayne Barnes joins WMUK's Gordon Evans to explain what they found. 

Kalamazoo has established itself as a home for craft beer. But Kalamazoo Public Library Web Coordinator Keith Howard says the history of brewing in the city stretches back to the 1800's. WMUK's Robbie Feinberg spoke with Howard, who is discussing the history of Kalamazoo breweries in a talk on Tuesday at the library's Washington Square Branch. 

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
