On WestSouthwest,  a nationally known expert and author on care giving speaks in Kalamazoo. And Upjohn Institute economists examine whether the Affordable Care Act is leading more to more part-time workers.

Joyce Rupp says care givers, both professionals and those caring for their family, need to also make time for themselves. Rupp is the main speaker at annual Community of Caregivers this weekend at Transformations Spirituality Center in Kalamazoo . 

Two economists at the Upjohn Institute for Employment Research recently looked into the Affordable Care Act's mandates on employers. Susan Houseman and Marcus Dillender say the preliminary results show that some workers are being reduced to part-time hours. But they say that doesn't mean that those results will continue over the long-term.
