WMU names new leader for international programs

Western Michigan University

Western Michigan University has named Wolfgang Schlor, the new associate provost for the Haenicke Institute for International Education.

Schlor is currently the interim provost for international affairs and interim director of international programs and studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. (University news release).

Schlor has been at the University of Illinois since 2007 and has served in various roles. His appointment at Western is effective October first, pending approval by the university's Board of Trustees. 

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
