Western Michigan University’s Sunseeker solar car has finished seventh in stage two of the American Solar Challenge. It's currently en route to Omaha, Nebraska from Kansas, as part of the more than 1700-mile race that began in Austin, Texas and will end in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Sunseeker, which is built, driven and maintained by WMU engineering students, finished eighth in the race's first stage.
According to the Sunseeker's Twitter account, the team replaced the car’s brakes earlier today and the car is “on the move again.”
