On this edition of WestSouthwest, we focus on the publishing world.

A new family-oriented magazine will launch in August. FYI will be produced by Encore Publications. Encore editor Marie Lee and FYI editor Tiffany Fitzgerald discuss the new magazine and the challenges facing magazines.

And North Woods Call Editor and Publisher Mike Van Buren discusses covering the environment and conservation. The former Kalamazoo Gazette reporter bought newspaper in 2011.

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
