Our first edition of WestSouthwest in 2018 is a rebroadcast of an interview about the philosopher Reinhold Niebuhr.

Former Kalamazoo College visiting professor Jeremy Sabella was a consultant on the documentary An American Conscience: The Reinhold Niebuhr Story. It was shown on many PBS stations. Former K-College Professor Gary Dorrien was among those interviewed for the documentary. Sabella also wrote a companion book for the film. Sabella spoke with WMUK's Gordon Evans. A version of the interview originally aired in April.

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
