The Library on WMUK-1

Sundays at 7 p.m. on WMUK-1, and Sundays at noon on WMUK-2

On March 29:

After a lifetime of searching, a man claims to have found the secret to love. If only the bartender, the paperboy and the other denizens of the Streetcar Café would believe him. If only he could leave his beer long enough to remember the whole secret. This Sunday at 7:00 on “The Library”, Mark Tomlonson reads Carson McCullers tale of desire and betrayal in “A Tree – A Rock – A Cloud”.

On April 5:

On Easter Sunday, Mark Tomlonson reads two stories about prayer. The first, “The Three Hermits” by Leo Tolstoy tells the story of a Bishop’s encounter with the hermits. He tries to teach them to recite the Lord’s Prayer, but they teach him even more. Then in Michigan native Robelle Degenaer’s “The Dance”, a Native American woman finds peace in a prayer dance to comfort an old man. Hear the stories on “The Library”, Sunday at 7:00 on WMUK-1.
