For years WMUK has made broadcast quality recordings of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, Fontana Chamber Arts, the Gilmore, and visiting artists. The newly built Yoshimi Takeda Performance Studio at WMUK significantly expands these capacities, enabling us to produce multi-track digital recordings in an intimate, acoustically-tunable environment designed for the comfort and creativity of performing artists.
Our studio facilities feature a 32-track, 24-bit ProTools recording system matched to a Digidesign Control 24 surface and a choice of quality microphones by Neumann, Sennheiser, Rode, RCA, and Shure. Other amenities include a Furman 6-channel cue system (allowing independent mixes for each group member), an isolation/overdub booth, a Yamaha grand piano, and a unique Trifussor system to tailor the acoustic response of the main studio to your needs.
In addition, we have ISDN capabilities to provide noise-free phone links for real-time interviews, discussions, and other applications. From simple voice tracks and demo tapes to concert recording or album creation, WMUK can accommodate your needs for professional recording services. Contact us for more information.
