Van Conway, CEO of Conway MacKenzie, denied Dillons contract work for the firm was influenced by the former treasurers role in getting the company work with the city while Dillon was overseeing Detroits financial crisis.

Former state treasurer Andy Dillon continues to draw state salary

Former state treasurer Andy Dillon is earning the same state salary as an adviser more than two months after resigning his position over family issues. Dillon is serving as senior adviser to state Treasurer Kevin Clinton a position that pays him the same annual salary of $174,204, according to Michigan Department of Treasury spokesman Terry Stanton.

New state treasurer named

Lansing -Gov. Rick Snyder is expected Tuesday to announce that insurance and financial services director Kevin Clinton will replace state Treasurer Andy Dillon, The Detroit News has learned. Clinton joined the Snyder administration in March as head of the state Department of Insurance and Financial Services, which regulates Michigan's financial industries including banks, insurance, credit unions and mortgage companies.

State Treasurer says campaign finance investigation played no role in decision to resign

LANSING, MI -- Michigan Treasurer Andy Dillon, who tendered his resignation on Friday, continues to face questions over campaign finance reporting errors related to his 2010 gubernatorial campaign committee. The committee may have mishandled a $130,000 bank loan in July of 2010, violating the Michigan Campaign Finance Act, according to one of six error and ommission notices issued last month by the Bureau of Elections.

Michigan state treasurer resigns

State treasurer Andy Dillon did not give a reason for why he’s leaving, but the Gongwer News Service says they expect an announcement later this afternoon. Dillon testified in the Detroit bankruptcy case deposition yesterday where he answered questions about his actions leading up to the bankruptcy filing.
A parent's ability to decline or delay vaccinations for their child based on philosophical reasons, as well as other unidentifiable reasons, ranks the state near the bottom of the barrel for children with immunizations, and in effect is why there are outbreaks of such preventable diseases, physicians told the Senate Health Policy Committee on Thursday.
