KALAMAZOO, MI - Four months after the plan was first presented to Kalamazoo County commissioners, the board is expected to approve a 68.7 acre expansion to the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek Airport Tuesday with the assistance of $1.16 million in federal funds.

Former Kalamazoo Airport director had misused county credit

According to a report by the county Fraud and Abuse Committee obtained through the state Freedom of Information Act, Moshoginis made four transactions using his county credit card totaling $1,322 at America's Best Value Inn, 2615 Airview Blvd., which has since been replaced by Days Inn and Suites and is located a half-mile from the airport offices.

Details of voluntary resignation agreement between Moshoginis and the Kalamazoo County Aeronautics Board were made public Wednesday following the board's vote to accept Moshoginis' resignation.

KALAMAZOO, MI - Clifton Moshoginis is no longer director of the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport following today's special meeting of the aeronautics board. Following a closed session, the board voted to accept Moshoginis' voluntary resignation. It also voted to appoint David Reid as interim director of the airport.

KALAMAZOO, MI - After agreeing last week to begin discussing separation with its embattled director Cliff Moshoginis, the Kalamazoo County aeronautics board is expected to finalize the separation at a special meeting today. Moshoginis' employment status has been in question since it was reported earlier this month that an airport employee had filed a harassment complaint against him.
