KALAMAZOO, MI -- A citizens committee is recommending that Kalamazoo Public Schools put a $62 million bond request on the May ballot, according to a presentation to the KPS board Thursday. The bond request would fund the replacement of the older wing of Milwood Elementary School, an auxiliary gym at Kalamazoo Central High School, new technology and buses, and basic upkeep on other schools.
