Kellogg Foundation to Pay $350,000 For Arena Improvements

Nearly $3.5-million has been allocated by city government and philanthropic groups to upgrade Kellogg Arena over five years
The W.K. Kellogg Foundation will contribute $350,000 for upgrades at Kellogg Arena as the facility undergoes millions of dollars in repairs. Ted Dearing, the arena's general manager, said the grant will go toward new equipment and building technology that will allow the facility to book more events and help create a "critical mass" downtown.

Architects unveiled three potential schemes for Festival Market Square that would reconfigure the area into an events and gathering space in downtown Battle Creek. Report calls for improvements to Kellogg Arena

City commissioners and other stakeholders will be presented a report on Kellogg Arena as the city administration makes a 'case for investment.' The arena is included in a list of proposed capital improvement projects that would require the city to take on $16 million of new debt.
